Bonnier names new head of fishing titles
WINTER PARK, Fla. — Scott Salyers has been named group publisher of Bonnier Corp.’s four fishing titles, according to a release from the company. Salyers has been the publisher of Sport Fishing for the past two years. As group publisher, he is now also responsible for Salt Water Sportsman, Marlin and Fly Fishing in Salt Waters.
“Scott has been a huge asset to our company for more than 13 years,” Glenn Hughes, group publisher of all Bonnier’s marine titles, said in the release. “His knowledge of the saltwater fishing market and its participants, as well as his relationships throughout the industry, make him the perfect leader.”
Salyers has been with Sport Fishing since 1997. He was originally hired as the southeast sales representative and rose to national sales manager before being promoted to associate publisher and then publisher.
“I look forward to helping our customers, who have had to weather one of the harshest environments the marine industry has ever seen,” Salyers said in the release. “I’m bullish on our future here at Bonnier, as I believe we will lead the industry as solution specialists.”
