The following are answers to some frequently asked questions regarding the Top Dealers program.

Q: What is the Boating Industry Top Dealers? 
As determined by Boating Industry magazine, the Top Dealers (a part of the overall Top 100 Awards) is an annual list of dealerships that are unsurpassed in overall business operations, customer service, professionalism and all the characteristics that go along with them.

Q: When will the Top Dealers be published?
In Boating Industry’s special issue dedicated entirely to the rankings, distributed at the Top 100 Awards gala, held after the Boating Industry Elevate Summit in November, and in our December issue. A complete list will be published, along with feature articles on many of the dealerships.

Q: How do I enter my company for consideration as a Top Dealership?
Applications for are available here.

Q: What type of dealerships will be included? 
The Top Dealers program will review applications from any and all North American-based dealerships.

Q: How will the Top Dealers be selected?
The Top Dealers are selected based on applications, nominations from within and outside of the industry and research by Boating Industry staff.

Q: Will there be an awards ceremony? 
Yes. There will be an invitation-only event, on the final evening of the Boating Industry Elevate Summit. (Top 100 Award-winning recipients will be notified in advance of the convention and awards ceremony.)

Q: How do I nominate dealers, and is there a limit to how many I can nominate?
Send the company’s name, complete address, contact name, phone number and e-mail address along with your name, company name and contact information to Top 100 Program Director Adam Quandt at aquandt@BoatingIndustry.com. There is no limit to the amount of nominations you can submit.

  1. 40 under 40 – Tyler Layton, can from Sarasota Mercedes to marinemax business office. After less than 1 year promoted to general manager of marinemax wrightsville beach, NC. After just under 2 years of success, he was promoted to general manager of pompano yacht center and led the nation in pretax profit in the first 3 months of him being there before being promoted to the Vice President of Finance for MarineMax! All while serving as a Captain in the US Army Reserves! He deserves to be on the list!

      Thank you for sending this our way. Nominations for the 2020 40 Under 40 aren’t open quite yet, but keep an eye on the Boating Industry website and please submit a formal nomination for Tyler once they open.
