Garner Award presented to NASBLA CEO
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) recently presented the association’s CEO John M. Johnson with the William B. Garner National Boating Safety Leadership award in recognition of his efforts helping the non-profit to grow.
The award was presented at the annual meeting for NASBLA Sept. 10-14 in Milwaukee. The Garner award was created to recognize individuals who have committed their time, energy and effort to improving boater safety.
Johnson has been employed with NASBLA for more than 20 years, providing administrative support at first, and eventually becoming CEO as NASBLA went toward a board governance model as it developed into a national organization.
