Barton Marine launches U.S. subsidiary

GUILFORD, Conn. – Taking aim at a larger share of the U.S. market, British hardware and accessories manufacturer Barton Marine has opened a warehouse and distribution center in Guilford, the company said in a statement yesterday.

Trading as Barton U.S.A. with a selection of the company’s most popular sail hardware and general boat accessory products as inventory, the new facility hopes to speed delivery and enhance customer service for Barton’s growing U.S. wholesale and retail customer base, the company said. Ocean Marketing will represent the Barton product line.

“This partnership between Barton U.S.A. and Ocean Marketing will strengthen our sales and supply chain within the U.S. and help us grow within this important market,” said David Coleman, Barton’s managing director.
