Bluewater Yachting Center names new GM
HAMPTON, Va. – Bluewater Yachting Center has hired Rodney Gentry as general manager of the Yachting Center marina, company president Chris Hall announced in a recent statement. Gentry is a Hampton native with a management background and an avid boater, according to his new employer. Assisting Rodney will be another native Hamptonian, Colby Wilson, who will take the role of assistant dockmaster.
Former Bluewater General Manager Ian Bates has returned to his native Australia with his wife and two children to be with his family, the company explained.
Bluewater Yacht Sales is a Mid-Atlantic sales and service facility with offices in Hampton, Va.; Stevensville, Md.; the Outer Banks; and Wrightsville Beach, N.C. Dealers for Viking Yachts, Viking Sport Cruisers and Regulator Marine, Bluewater is also a yacht brokerage firm. In addition to the Bluewater Yachting Center in Hampton, the company operates two service facilities, one in Hampton and the newest in Wanchese on the Outer Banks of North Carolina.
