New officers elected to NMMA boards
CHICAGO – During the National Marine Manufacturers Association’s board elections held last week at IBEX in Miami Beach, Fla., George Bellwoar, vice president of Sales & Marketing for marine lighting and hardware manufacturer Perko Inc., was elected chairman of the board, succeeding past chair Bill Barrington, non-executive chairman of U.S. Marine.
The other elected officers of NMMA are Chuck Rowe, Indmar Products Co., vice chairman; David Slikkers, Tiara Yachts, treasurer; and Marty O’Donohue, Marinco Recreational Group, secretary. All officers serve one-year terms and are eligible for re-election to a second term next fall at IBEX 2005.
NMMA’s divisional boards also elected their respective new officers. These include the Accessory Manufacturers Division (AMD), Boat Manufacturers Division (BMD) and Engine Manufacturers Division (EMD).
The officers elected to the AMD board are: Rick Russell, Anderson Marine, chairman; Jason Pajonk, Taylor Made, vice chairman; and Jeff Huntley, T-H Marine, second vice chairman.
The BMD elected J.J. Marie, Zodiac of North America as its chairman, David Slikkers as its vice chairman and John Dorton, Mastercraft, as second vice chairman.
Chuck Rowe will continue to serve as the chairman for the EMD. Jim Hubbard, Mercury Marine, is the vice chair and Bob Hallengren, Caterpillar, is second vice chairman.
New board members also welcomed
In addition to electing new officers, NMMA, the AMD and BMD also welcomed new board members during IBEX, according to the association.
Joining the AMD are John Waters, Dometic Corp.; Michelle Goldsmith, Charles Industries; and Robert Defonte, Orion Safety Products.
New to the BMD board are Maurice Bowen, Tracker Marine; Scott Deal, Maverick; Pat Healey, Viking Yachts; Steve Lochmueller, Sumerset Custom Houseboats; Duane Kuck, Regal Boats; and Dusty McCoy, Brunswick Boat Group.
New directors elected to the NMMA board from each of the divisional boards are: Terry Carlson, Raymarine; Dorton; Tom Douglass, Teleflex Marine; Joan Maxwell, Regulator Marine; Bob Menne, Premier Marine; Pajonk and McCoy.
