SOUTHWEST HARBOR, Maine – Gerard DiSchino has been elected president and CEO of the Maine-based yacht manufacturer Hinckley Co, replacing retiring CEO Ralph Willard, who will become chairman of the board of the company, Hinckley Co. said in a release yesterday.
DiSchino joined the Hinckley Co. in 2000 as general manager of the company’s subsidiary, the Ted Hood Co. He was then promoted to the position of resident of the Hinckley Yacht Service Division and in 2003 was named as the company’s COO. In this position, DiSchino has been responsible for all five Hinckley Service yards and the boat building operations in Trenton, Maine.
“I am sincerely honored to have the opportunity to take the helm of this fine company,” DiSchino said. “And I very much look forward to working with the 700 dedicated employees that are responsible for designing, building and servicing the finest yachts in the world for over 75 years.”
