WARREN, R.I. — The International Marina Institute (IMI) has added a new one-day conference to its marina training program, the organization reported this week.
“The New Now: How to Thrive in Today’s Economy” will focus on evolving economic conditions and how businesses need to adapt to thrive in today’s economic climate. The conference is scheduled for July 27, 2010, in New England.
Conference topics include the status of the economy and where it is heading as well as tips for how to survive and prosper. IMI said presenters will offer “concrete tools and techniques for profiting in today’s marketplace.”
Invited speakers include an economist, a banker/lender, a manufacturer, a retailer, and a small business development professional as well as marina managers and owners.
IMI, a subsidiary of the Association of Marina Industries, has been training and certifying marina personnel since 1986 and offers courses in Intermediate Marina Management and Advanced Marina Management. IMI also provides qualified members with a Certified Marina Manager designation.
