FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The 2009 Green Marine Summit will be held Oct. 2-3 at Pier 66 in Fort Lauderdale, according to a release from the Association of Marina Industries, one of the event’s host organizations.
The summit is produced by the Florida Marine Contractor Association. Its goal is to lead the development and implementation of science-based construction standards in four areas: green marine products, green marine contracting, green marine management practices and green marine consulting.
The summit will include seminars and workshops that build on the topics and issues discussed at the first Green Summit in 2008. Also, the event will feature an exhibit area filled with a number of companies whose products and services compliment the summit’s theme of sustainable, “green marine” construction.
The cost of registration is $50 for government employees, $100 for members of host organizations and $150 for all others.
Host organizations include the Florida Marine Contractors Association, the Florida DEP, the Florida Inland Navigation District, the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, the Association of Marina Industries, the Marine Industries Association of Florida, the Marine Industries Association of South Florida, the Marine Industries Association of the Treasure Coast and the Southwest Florida Marine Industries Association.
Sponsorship/exhibitor costs are $1000 for members and $1500 for nonmembers. Only sponsors may exhibit.
