Magnum Marine not being sold, says owner

MIAMI, Fla. – Magnum Marine, a Miami-based manufacturer of high-performance yachts and patrol craft, has not been sold, contrary to a report earlier this week originating from Italy, owners reported in a statement yesterday.

“The Theodoli family has owned and managed Magnum Marine for over 30 years and we are proud to be totally independent,” says owner Katrin Theodoli. “Our independence from any large group allows us to be free from compromises in design and quality. We continue to build the fastest, sexiest, most seaworthy custom-built performance yachts in the world.”

“Magnum Marine has not been sold to anyone,” added Theodoli.

The Theodoli family said the company is “flourishing” with three new Magnum models in the pipeline for launch in the next 12 months. First up will be the Magnum 80′, due to be launched in November. Then in spring 2008, a new Magnum 50′ will be unveiled, followed in summer by the new Magnum 70′.
