Edd Helms Marine Air Conditioning expands Fort Lauderdale store
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Edd Helms Marine Air Conditioning & Refrigeration has opened its expanded Fort Lauderdale marine facilities, which will include a new “working” marine air showroom offering a hands-on buying experience for yacht owners, captains, and crew, the company reported in a statement today.
With this expansion, Edd Helms Marine Air Conditioning now offers yacht owners an in-stock selection of major replacement components such as chillers, air handlers, central units, self-contained units, refrigerators, and ice machines, the company stated.
The firm is now an authorized dealer for marine brands such as Marine Air Systems, Cruisair, Grunert, Tundra, and Eskimo.
“South Florida’s marine customers frequently had to go for days without air conditioning in their boats while they waited for their unit to be manufactured,” said Wade Helms, general manager. “Imagine trying to enjoy a holiday weekend with family or guests inside your boat’s enclosed cabins without air conditioning; things become quite uncomfortable. With our expanded on-hand inventory Edd Helms Marine Air Conditioning can now install most replacement marine units the same day.”
In addition to major components, this expanded facility will offer a full range of marine air conditioning and refrigeration parts for sale over the counter as well as rental yacht cooling towers.
Edd Helms Marine provides same day dockside repairs, new installations, and major boatyard refits to ABYC standards in the Fort Lauderdale and Miami areas to yachts and mega-yachts.
The expanded facilities are located in the heart of the Fort Lauderdale marine district, midway between Bahia Mar Yachting Center and Roscioli Yachting Center, at 620 SW Flagler Ave., just south of the New River in the former home of Ward’s Marine Electric and just across the tracks from Frank & Jimmie’s Propeller Shop.
