Project Boat Holdings reorganizes management structure

CADILLAC, Mich. — Jeff Olson, former president of Four Winns, and Rick Fulmer, former vice president of sales and marketing, are no longer with Four Winns as of July 8.

Four Winns was one of the properties acquired by Project Boat Holdings during the Genmar bankruptcy sale and is part of the company’s recreational boat division, which also includes the Glastron and Wellcraft brands. Roch Lambert, president of Project Boat Holdings Recreational Division, said the decision was made for both economic and strategic reasons.

“The key drivers of my decision were to first align the size of the organization with the reality of the business,” Lambert said. “Second, I wanted to have a structure that has less levels in it, allowing me to be closer to the network.”

Mike O’Connell, former president of Glastron, will take on a new role as vice president of business development for Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft.

Following the moves, Lambert said he is very confident in the company’s ability to continue to support its network and make Four Winns, Glastron and Wellcraft solid brands for dealers.

“We have a very senior team here in place that not only has deep knowledge of the history of our brands, but also a lot of experience in the industry overall,” Lambert said. “I am very comfortable that we have the talent to deliver on our objectives. We will also be announcing the addition of a new VP sales and marketing for Four Winns very soon to replace Rick Fulmer. That new player brings a wealth of experience to our team in similar businesses and will allow us to continue to implement world class business practices to lead the Four Winns sales and marketing teams.”

In general, Lambert said business is tracking according to plan at this point.

“If anything, the early orders for [model year ’11] are exceeding our expectations,” Lambert said. “We remain cautious but optimistic about the year ahead.”
