Pursuit postpones its dealer meetings

FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Damage from Hurricane Frances has caused Pursuit Boats to cancel its dealer conference, which had been scheduled to take place Sept. 19-21, the company said in a release Friday.

“Pursuit and many of its employees have sustained damages from minor to major and Indian River Plantation where the conference was to be held sustained much damage of their own,” the boat manufacturer said. “Our company was fortunate not to receive major damage and we are already back to work, hoping to be at full production by next week.”

All room reservations at the Hutchinson Island Marriott Hotel have been cancelled, according to the company. Pursuit is planning to reschedule the release of its 2005 product line, and will contact its dealers when the details are finalized.

“At this time it would appear that the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show might be the first opportunity for you to see our new models for model year 2005,” stated the company.
