New owner takes the helm at Dehler
FREIENOHL/MESCHEDE, Germany – The ownership and management of yacht manufacturer Dehler was taken over by Wilan van den Berg, a Dutch businessman established in Barcelona, earlier this year, the company reported in a release yesterday.
Van den Berg takes over the management of Dehler Deutschland GmbH and Dehler Segelyachten GmbH, both based in Freienohl/Meschede-Germany, along with Dehler International Yachtsales BV, based in the Netherlands. All three companies have now been integrated, with their center in Freienohl.
“I like Dehler yachts that much, that I decided to buy the company,” van den Berg said.
Dehler was founded more than 40 years ago. A new advertising strategy, developed by the Barcelona based Advertising agency SineQuaNon, will also be employed.
The new message “When passion meets reason” describes “the new DEHLER age” that started when Mr. van den Berg acquired the company, according to the release. The new age will be defined by new yacht designs, an increase of the marketing and advertising investment and also the strengthening of its dealer network, the company said.
