PULASKI, Wis. — Marquis Yachts recently promoted of Erik Nelson to vice president of sales and marketing, according to a company release. In his new capacity, Nelson will be responsible for developing strategy and overseeing the implementation of tactics related to the marketing and sale of the company’s two brands, Marquis Yacht and Carver Yachts.
Nelson started with the company in 2006 as regional business manager. Since joining the company, he has held positions as national sales manager and most recently director of sales and service since 2008.
“Erik’s knowledge of the marine industry and his continued commitment to our worldwide dealers made his promotion a logical choice,” Robert VanGrunsven, president of Marquis Yachts, said in the release. “You cannot have a premium brand without premium people managing it. Erik has keen business skills, passion for the marine industry and a sincere concern for the partnerships we have with our dealers. I am very proud to have Erik as a member of our executive level staff.”
