Outboard executive joins Davis Consulting
LISLE, Ill. – Jack Flaig, formerly with Bombardier Recreational Products and Outboard Marine Corp., has joined Davis Consulting Group as a consultant, the firm said in a statement yesterday.
Flaig has twenty-five years of experience with OMC in management positions, and he has also served on the National Marine Manufacturers Association, Association of Marine Engine Manufacturers and American Boat & Yacht Council boards of directors, the company reported.
Flaig served in the Navy as an engineering officer. While at OMC, he was product engineering manager for large outboards and vice president of engineering and manufacturing. At BRP, Flaig acted as director of government and special products. He earned a MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School and masters and bachelor’s degrees in mechanical engineering from the University of Illinois.
Davis Consulting now has 65 marine surveyors and ten naval architects nationwide that specialize in engineering and design, accident reconstruction, fire and explosion cause and origin, forensic engineering and commercial vessel surveying.
“Jack’s knowledge in product testing and operation of outboards and outboard powered boats will be of great assistance in our failure diagnosis practice,” said Greg Davis, Davis Consulting president. “He also has special knowledge in manufacturing practices that will assist in the R&D area.”
