NMMA staffer chosen to head NASBLA’s D.C. office

WASHINGTON – The National Marine Manufacturers Association’s Matthew Long has been chosen to head-up the National Association of State Boating Law Administrator’s Washington office as NASBLA’s director of government affairs. Long, currently NMMA’s manager of government affairs, has worked for more than three years in the association’s government relations office and will begin his new position June 1st.

“During his time with NMMA, Matt Long has successfully coordinated four American Boating Congresses, lead the association’s government-related grassroots efforts, engaged in state government relations work and served as an industry liaison to help coordinate the Congressional Boating Caucus,” said Monita Fontaine, NMMA vice president and senior counsel of government relations. “NASBLA has made an excellent choice, and we look forward to continuing our good relations with this important partner in our boating safety efforts.”
