Boatsetter adds Roch Lambert to advisory panel

On Tuesday, Boatsetter, an online peer-to-peer boat-sharing marketplace similar to Uber and AirBnB, welcomed Roch Lambert as the newest member to their corporate advisory board.

Lambert is the former president of Rec Boat Holdings, the parent company of the Four Winns, Scarab, Wellcraft and Glastron boat brands, until they were sold to Groupe Beneteau in June 2014. He is credited with rebuilding the company from bankruptcy to one of the leading boating manufacturers in the nation, and was chosen as the 2013 Boating Industry Mover and Shaker of the Year.

In his new advisory position to Boatsetter, Lambert will focus on developing new partnerships, while connecting with other boat manufacturers and organizations. He will also assist with Boatsetter’s continuing worldwide expansion and help increase operational efficiency.

“We are thrilled to have Roch join the Boatsetter family. He brings a wealth of unique industry insight, which will allow us to further improve our unrivaled platform,” said Jackie Baumgarten, CEO of Boatsetter.com. “Boatsetter is the world’s number one boat rental community for connecting boat owners, Coast Guard licensed captains and those interested in enjoying time on the water. Adding Roch’s expertise will allow us to become even better.”

Lambert’s resume includes over 22 years of experience within the powersport and boating industries and previously served at the executive level with Bombardier Recreational Products and BRP U.S. Inc. He is a Quebec-native and obtained a degree in mechanical engineering from the Polytechnic School of Montreal. Additionally, he also earned a business degree from Laval University.

Since merging with Cruzin in 2015, Boatsetter has expanded its services across the U.S and to new markets worldwide. The Aventura-headquartered company allows its users to rent boats of all sizes, with or without a captain and ensures a carefree experience by providing the industry’s best insurance and 24/7 on the water assistance.
