Ranger recognizes dealers at national conference

Rangers Boats handed out several dealer awards at its recent national dealer conference.

Cabela’s in Kansas City, Kan., was named the 2015 Ranger Dealer of the Year.

Represented by Kansas City Boat Center Manager Scott Clevenger, Cabela’s received the award during a ceremony that coincided with the conference. The Ranger Dealer of the Year Award, presented by Ranger Boats founder Forrest L. Wood, president Randy Hopper and vice president Keith Daffron, goes to the dealership that best represents the brand in a host of categories.

“Dealer of the Year is an enormous achievement because the award is based on far more than just sales volume. Winners are selected for their customer satisfaction and support, dealer visibility, maintaining market share and their overall representation of the Ranger brand,” Daffron said. “All of the Cabela’s Boat Centers are vital partners in Ranger’s continued success and the Kansas City location continues to set the bar very high for all Ranger dealers.”

Vic’s Sports Center in Kent, Ohio, received the award for Top Single Market Dealer.

The Top Single Market Dealer award, which goes to the dealership with the highest average of purchases and sales in a single market, was presented to dealership owner Tommy Vatalaro.

“Vic’s Sports Center is vital to Ranger’s success in a key market, serving a diverse area that includes parts of five states and anglers with a host of boating needs,” Daffron said. “With a region that large and diverse, it takes a lot of hard work and insight to keep their finger on the pulse of what their customers want and need and they do it very well, as you can see from the number of boats sold there. Dealers like Vic’s do a wonderful job of reinforcing Ranger’s legacy to build the best boats anywhere and exceed customers’ expectation before and after the sale.”

Watson’s Marine in Bluff City, Tenn., received the Legacy Award.

Presented to owners Aaron and Brandie Greene, the Legacy Award is voted on by members of Ranger’s sales staff, warranty department, delivery staff and others. The award recognizes dealers whose attitude, service and support benefit their customers and uphold the standards of those whose past work helped to make Ranger the successful company it is today.

“Watson’s Marine represents the same core principles that we operate under at Ranger.  Even in a year where they experienced much adversity, their team persevered and continued to sell and service their local market,” Daffron said. “Strong independent dealers helped build our reputation and it’s what will ensure our success in the future. We’re proud to present this award to Watson’s for all of their hard work at reinforcing the legendary Ranger name.”
