Challenger corrects February report
WASHINGTON, Mo. – Earlier this month, Challenger Powerboats, Inc., a powerboat, tow boat and water-jet powered sport boat manufacturer, mistakenly reported a higher number of boats shipped in February than were actually shipped, the company said in a retraction yesterday.
A March 6 release stating the company had shipped 48 boats in February 2008 was incorrect. The actual number of boats shipped for the month was 34, which does not surpass the record for a month set in January 2008, as the company had claimed in the previous release.
