NautSource product searches up 15 percent

KILMARNOCK, Va. – Searches on NautSource.com, the boating products search engine, increased 15 percent from 30,000 in May to about 34,500 in June, the company said in a release yesterday.

NautSource was launched in April by international products consultancy Home Port Marine Marketing.

“The June increase in traffic to NautSource.com was in line with our expectations and we’re on track to our goal of reaching an average of 100,000 product searches a month by the end of our first year of service,” said Home Port COO David Pilvelait.

The top-ten product category searches for June were:

  • hardware
  • paint maintenance
  • watersports
  • cabin galley
  • electrical
  • navigation
  • anchor docking
  • plumbing
  • safety
  • The top-ten product keyword searches for June were:

  • Garmin
  • gps
  • tops
  • Raymarine
  • fuel
  • trailer
  • deck
  • fishing
  • rigging
  • cooling
  • There are now over 2,300 manufacturer, distributor and retailer Web sites in the NautSource database.
