Larson FX model lineup continues to expand

LITTLE FALLS, Minn  Larson Boat Group’s Larson FX boat series of freshwater fishing boats has added the 1650DC (dual console) to the model lineup.

“Adding the 1650 dual console model configuration completes and complements the Larson FX series lineup offering of side consoles, tillers and dual consoles, like all Larson FX series model boats,” says Rob Parmentier, President and CEO of Larson Boat Group..

As with all Larson FX series models, the hull is constructed using Larson’s patented VEC Composite Technology. VEC Technology ensures a consistent hull lamination thickness throughout the boat for controlled overall boat weight. VEC manufacturing allows for consistent, repetitive processes ensuring a unitized fiberglass stringer system built with rigid, one-shot resin fusing the stringer grid to the floor system, a molded transom bracket, and even distribution of urethane foam-filled hull for maximum flotation and strength.

The Larson FX 1650DC hull bottom was designed and engineered for the weekend angler but with the tournament pro’s mindset and requirements. Flared hull sides for reduced wave impact and a dry ride, modified two-tiered chines (wide in the stern for stability and narrow in the bow for wave impact), straight strakes for lift and hull tracking, and a back-trolling keel for increased maneuverability so you can stay on the fish.

The 1650DC is prepped and ready to fish bow to stern. Whether it’s the aft casting platform, gunnel rod storage compartments, large bow fishing platform with standard built-in 29-gallon aerated livewell with bait bucket inset ring, the 1650DC is ready to attack and be on the fish. Standard bonus features are the integrated fish ruler with tool rail for filet knife, pliers or other tools, or a large angled flat mounting surface for your graph when trolling and fishing from the bow.

Whether Mercury, Yamaha, Evinrude or Suzuki, the 1650DC has power options ranging from 60 to 90 horsepower. Standard with a single, portable 12-gallon fuel tank or add an optional second 12-gallon portable fuel tank, the 1650DC has the range and power to have you at the fishing grounds in no time.

The cockpit has all the creature comforts, and then some, expected in an 18-foot freshwater fishing machine. Choose the optional high-back helm and passenger seats with recliner and adjustable armrests for a comfortable run to the fish or back home to the dock. The helm incorporates a designed space for a 5-inch graph, upholstered eyebrow sun shade to easily read the gauges, and a tall walk-through windshield to protect from the wind while running to the fish or back to the dock. A lockable glove box is found on the passenger side console. After a successful day on the water, back the standard painted ShoreLand’r trailer down the ramp to take your 1650DC and catch back home.

“From the deep V-hull to the back trolling keel, the 1650DC is loaded with fishing features for the small bodies of water, but has what it takes for the big water as well,” says Team Larson FX pro, Jimmy Bell.
