YESSSS appoints North American marketing director

YESSSS, a marketing and business consultancy firm in the marine industry, continues to expand with the appointment of Eve Verberne heading the North American market. As marketing director for the North American market, Verberne’s primary role will be to help lead the marketing management services provided to the company’s diverse portfolio of clients within the marine industry.

“As our business continues to grow, we recognized the need for someone with extensive marketing expertise to cater to our growing North American client base,” said Nona Pedersen, Joint CEO of YESSSS. “Having previously worked with Eve, I was certain that her capabilities and international marketing experience made her perfect for the role and our YESSSS team. She has worked with marine distributors, dealers, shipyards and end users, enabling her to understand their needs.”

Verberne’s marketing journey began at Oceanmax, now Propspeed, where she played a pivotal role in growing the brand internationally and immersing herself in the marine industry. Her experience includes marketing for two London-based companies: Meristem Design, an urban greening startup; and leading marketing efforts at the charity Business Launchpad, which focuses on helping young entrepreneurs to set up and run their own businesses. Verberne not only brings a strong marketing management skillset to the YESSSS team, but also expertise in digital marketing such as SEO, SEM and CRM management.

Returning to New Zealand, Verberne worked for McKay in the marine and electrotechnology sector, contributing to marketing efforts related to Ika Rere, the first electric passenger ferry in the Southern Hemisphere. During her time at McKay, she was also involved in McKay’s sister company Naut, a startup specializing in electric propulsion systems for vessels between 19 – 40 feet (6 – 12 meters). Verberne is based in Whistler, Canada.

“I am eager to dive into the role as Marketing Director for the North America,” said Verberne. “With my previous experience in marketing, both within and outside of the marine industry, I hope to bring fresh ideas and really drive results for our clients. I am also looking forward to contributing to the overall marketing strategy to grow the YESSSS brand.”
