WIXOM, Mich. – NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc. has promoted Michael Schwab to the position of vice president of its aftermarket division, it reported in a recent statement.
Schwab, a 20-year veteran in the aftermarket, has been with NGK since 1989 and previously served as director of sales and marketing for North America. Prior to that, he served as general manager for NGK Spark Plugs (U.S.A.), the company stated.
In his new role, Schwab will oversee sales and marketing functions for NGK’s Aftermarket and OES channels, the company explained. He reports to Hideyuki Koiso, president and CEO for NGK.
Schwab has been integral in leading NGK’s aftermarket efforts, according to the company, expanding NGK’s retail presence and expanding distribution while refining the company’s branding efforts. Under Schwab’s guidance, NGK’s social marketing endeavors have expanded the brand, reaching millions of new consumers, NGK stated.
