NEW YORK – Stephen Roche has been named brand director at the Time4 Media Marine Group, according to a statement from the company August 8.
In the newly-created position, Roche will be charged with developing multi-media branding campaigns for Time4 Media’s three marine group magazines and multi-tiered programs for the magazines’ advertisers. His first project will be spearheading the marketing and positioning strategy for Motor Boating, as the 98-year-old title prepares for a redesign this fall.
“Steve is a magazine marketing pro with outstanding marine industry experience and a proven track record of building programs for enthusiast titles and their clients,” said John Young, president and group publisher of the marine group. “He is a key new addition to our team, and we are pleased to welcome him to the marine group.”

He was also responsible for marketing and promotions for the group’s five television shows and two network radio programs. Previously, he was director of marketing for Power & Motoryacht magazine, also a Primedia property. Prior to his tenure at Primedia, Roche was promotion manager at American Baby and Healthy Kids, and associate promotion director at Family Media.
