OAKLAND, Ontario - Veteran Canadian boating journalist Mike Milne has joined the Formula Media Group, according to a statement from the company Tuesday.
One of Canada’s boating writers and editors for more than two decades, Milne was named editor of Boating Business and Boatguide Canada magazines.
Most recently he was editor of Boats & Places with Dual Media, and editor of Marina News, a membership publication of the Ontario Marine Operators Association. Prior to that he was editor of Today’s Boating and Power Illustrated magazines.
Serving Canada’s recreational marine industry and its boaters, Milne will work closely with Lizanne Madigan, director of editorial at FMG, and FMG’s expanding marine team.
Published six times a year, including Canada’s annual Distributor Directory, Boating Business has been published for Canada’s recreational marine industry since 1976. Now in its 22nd year, Boatguide Canada is targeted at recreational powerboats and includes a Canadian Powerboat Buyers’ Guide. It is published twice annually.
FMG also produces the Toronto International Boat Show Guide on behalf of the National Marine Manufacturers Association/Canada; the Halifax International Boat Show Guide on behalf of the Atlantic Marine Trades Association and Master Promotions; and the Vancouver International Boat Show Guide on behalf of the British Columbia Marine Trades Association and NMMA Canada.
