TowBoatUS Opens Cincinnati Location

On-water towing fleet company TowBoatUS has just opened its first Cincinnati, Ohio, location. Helmed by Capt. Winslow Taylor along with Capts. Jack Novak and Chris Parker, the group also owns and operates TowBoatUS Pittsburgh and TowBoatUS Lake Anna.

TowBoatUS Cincinnati homeports a 25-foot MayCraft response vessel at Morning Star Marina in Cincinnati, according to the company. The new port is part of a nationwide network of more than 330 TowBoatUS locations and more than 630 red response vessels nationwide that provide 24/7 on-water towing, soft ungrounding, battery jump and fuel drop-off services to recreational boaters.

“After doing some market analysis, I knew I wanted to open this location along the Ohio River. We saw a vast need for towing in the area, as boaters travel up and down the Ohio River. With the addition of this port, we can now serve customers along the Kentucky-Ohio state line,” said Taylor in a news release.

Much like an auto club for recreational boat owners, Boat Owners Association of The United States (BoatUS) offers on-water towing memberships for $130/year for freshwater and $215/year for saltwater, according to the company. In addition to a BoatUS Towing Membership, members also receive more than 25 valuable BoatUS benefits including a subscription to award-winning BoatUS Magazine, free DSC-VHF radio registration and more.

To request on-water assistance, boaters can call the BoatUS toll-free 24/7 Dispatch Center at 800-391-4869, download the free BoatUS App, call TowBoatUS Cincinnati directly at 513-848-2628, or hail on VHF radio Ch. 16.
