Georgia state lawmakers vist Chaparral

Georgia State Senator Tyler Harper and Representative Penny Houston recently toured Chaparral Boats Inc.’s facility in Nashville, Georgia.

During their visit, Senator Harper and Representative Houston went through the plant and saw the boat manufacturing process first-hand.

An agriculture engineer graduate from the University of Georgia, Harper engaged with Chaparral founder Buck Pegg and the entire team throughout his tour, discussing a range of issues, including workforce development.

“Senator Harper and Representative Houston are natives of South Georgia and are staunch advocates supporting the issues and opportunities to advance our company and the needs of the marine industry,” said Pegg. “We were very happy to have them at our facility to discuss current issues.”

NMMA encourages other members to work with them on scheduling factory visits with their respective elected officials; critically important opportunities for highlighting the recreational boating industry.
