HCB adds Chesapeake Yacht Center to annex network
HCB Center Console Yachts has added Chesapeake Yacht Center to its roster of annex partners. The company’s annex program began with Plantation Boat Mart’s Islamorada and Palm Beach, Fla. locations upon the company’s reincarnation as a custom boat builder in 2012.
Since then, growing demand for premium center consoles prompted the company to expand its annex partner program, which is a unique approach to marine retailing.
“We’ve found another like-minded factory annex partner in Chesapeake Yacht Center.” said CEO Elias De La Torre. “Our business model and focus on the customer has always been at the core of our mindset. Annexes like Chesapeake Yacht Center understand how to deliver top-shelf service to a discerning clientele and are a great fit for our brand. We are excited to have them aboard.”
The annex program goes hand-in-hand with HCB’s customer care experience. Called the Crucero Experience, it is a highly customized approach that begins at customer courtship through the boat build process, commissioning, and ownership.
“Chesapeake Yacht Center was founded on a commitment to customer care and service that blends well with HCB’s business philosophy on serving the discerning, affluent yacht buyer,” said CYC’s co-principal Josh White. “We know what this level of customer wants and expects, and how to deliver on a premium brand’s promise. HCB understands how to do business at this level.”
HCB Center Console Yachts offers models ranging from 39 to 53 feet, with a new 65-foot model being added this fall.
“We have been diligently working on expanding our distribution footprint,” said Mike Yobe, HCB Center Console Yachts’ vice president of product strategy.
Yobe told Boating Industry HCB has seen its popularity and demand grow quickly as traditional dealer networks have encountered challenges. Implementing a factory-partnered annex model is the final piece of a new company strategy, Yobe added.
“These annexes will help extend the awareness, influence and customer experience of HCB Center Console Yachts to an even wider audience, while remaining factory-partnered with the HCB culture and spirit,” Yobe said.
