Minneapolis-based Ackmann & Dickenson, a software development, design and digital marketing agency, has acquired South Carolina firm Jester Communications.
Jester Communications developed the mobile tool Bolster, providing original equipment manufacturers with real-time digital sales support. Bolster is designed to shorten the sales cycle by arming dealers with the latest manufacturer information delivered within a visually impactful experience. Roughly 75 percent of Jester Communication’s business is in the marine industry working with companies such as Mercury, Beneteau and Sea Ray. Jester Communications also works with heavy-machinery and agricultural companies such as Toyota Industrial Equipment.
Jester Communications and A&D have been collaborating for the past year.
“In order to provide maximum benefit to our customers we need to constantly evolve our mobile software solutions,” said Jared Jester. “A&D is the first company we have worked with that could keep pace with the engineering requirements to solve problems as they arise and help us continually modify our systems to provide the optimum service and options to our customers. Their level of engineering, capability and aptitude is superior to anything we’ve experienced in the past.”
According to A&D, the acquisition of Jester Communications opens the opportunity for the company to expand service offerings to additional industries in Minnesota and beyond.
“We are excited to expand the distribution of Bolster across numerous industries in the marketplace,” said Andy Dickenson, managing partner at A&D. “The combination of Jester Communications’s ingenuity and A&D’s engineering capabilities will have lasting impact on manufacturer dealer networks not only on a domestic level, but internationally as well.”
A&D is a part of Clear Night, a platform of brand, marketing and technology service companies.
