ADP makes InformationWeek 500 list for innovative tech companies

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Automatic Data Processing (ADP), which among other things builds dealer management software for vehicle and marine dealers, was ranked 7th for 2011 on InformationWeek’s 500 list of the top business technology innovators in the United States. This is the second time in five years that ADP has ranked in the top 5 for the list.

In 2010 and 2011, ADP launched two free mobile apps for small business owners and clients. RUN Powered by ADP was released in October 2010 and enabled small business owners to manage payroll through their mobile device. The ADP Mobile Solutions app, released in July of this year, enables employees to access payroll, benefits, and HR information directly from their mobile device.

The 2011 rankings were revealed at the 2011 InformationWeek 500 Conference in Dana Point, Calif., where ADP ranked the highest for all human capital management companies and business outsourcing solutions providers.

“As one of the original cloud computing providers, technology and innovation are woven into our culture at ADP,” said Michael Capone, CIO of ADP, in a press release. “We are honored to be a leading member of the InformationWeek 500.”
