Volvo Penta delivers 4,000th IPS unit to North America
CHESAPEAKE, Va. – Volvo Penta delivered its 4,000th Inboard Performance System (IPS) engine package to KCS International for inclusion in their new 48 Cantius cruiser on July 27, 2011.
Volvo Penta has delivered more than 16,000 of their IPS units to boatbuilders worldwide, and Russell M. Davis, Director of Marking and Sales for KCS, said in a press release that the IPS is a major factor contributing the ongoing success of their 48 Cantius model.
Volvo Penta is a worldwide manufacturer of engines and power systems for marine and industrial use, and has been producing the Inboard Performance System since 2005.
