CHICAGO. Ill. — Discover Boating has a new way to measure its impressions: by how many people “like” the site on Facebook.
Since May 2, 150,000 people have “liked” the Discover Boating Facebook page, for a totoal of 201,145 total fans. The site has been averaging 1,300 “likes” per day. To date, the campaign has generated 384 million impressions and 216,000 clicks.
Per Carl Blackwell, president of Grow Boating Inc. and NMMA’s chief marketing officer, said, “This is an exciting social media milestone for the Discover Boating campaign, as we’ve worked to reignite Discover Boating this year. Social media is not a one-time communication. We have a community that we can share information with year round while getting valuable feedback. We’ll continue to cultivate the passion of boaters and boating enthusiasts looking to share their love of life on the water.”
