WARREN, R.I. — The International Marina and Boatyard conference saw a 5 percent increase in participation at this year's event with a total of 841 registrations. The event was held Jan. 26–28 at the Greater Fort Lauderdale/Broward County Convention Center.
According to organizers, there were 131 new attendees and 10 different countries represented.
The next IMBC will be held February 1–3, 2012, at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The event, produced by the Association of Marina Industries (AMI), is specifically geared toward marina and boatyard owners, operators, and managers as well as dockmasters, harbormasters, boat builders and repairers, and industry consultants.
“We are excited to host our tenth anniversary conference in an imaginative, fun, positive, and inspiring location,” Jim Frye, AMI’s president and chair, said.
In addition to the conference, attendees will get discounts on park tickets, complimentary magical express service and other benefits for family members.
