ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Take Me Fishing, a national campaign promoting safe boating and fishing practices, has partnered with Markel Boat Insurance to provide TakeMeFishing.org visitors with enhanced safety content, according to a recent press release from Markel and the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation.
TakeMeFishing.org visitors will find boating and fishing tips, safety recommendations, and insurance guidelines provided by Markel on the website. Markel also created a custom landing page for TakeMeFishing.org visitors to review coverage options and to discuss their individual insurance needs with Markel agents.
"The content that Markel will provide to TakeMeFishing.org will help to increase public awareness of sound fishing and boating practices. We are excited to be working with such a great partner," said Frank Peterson, president and CEO of the Recreational Boating Fishing Foundation, the organization behind Take Me Fishing.
TakeMeFishing.org includes links to purchase state fishing licenses and boat registrations as well as a comprehensive map that provides locations to boat and fish nationwide.
"Markel is excited to partner and support the Take Me Fishing campaign because we believe in the campaign's laudable mission, which is to get more Americans involved in boating and fishing," added Markel Director of Marketing Ted Wentzel.
