WARREN, R.I. — The American Boat Builders & Repairers Association (ABBRA) 2010 Summer Symposium is scheduled for August 2 and 3 at the Hilton Mystic at the Aquarium in Mystic, Conn., according to a release from the group.
The two-day symposium includes panel seminars from industry professionals, attendee-led roundtable discussions on current issues, and a keynote presentation. The event is open to both ABBRA members and non-members.
“Based on what we learned at our highly successful inaugural event last year, the ABBRA Summer Symposium promises to be a great chance for the marine service industry (boatyards, repairers, boat builders) and affiliated partners to benefit from the purpose-driven content and networking opportunities available at this gathering,” Doug Domenie, ABBRA president, said in the release.
Registrants for the full event may also participate in a field trip to two area boatyards to witness regional best practices firsthand. Event attendees’ guests will be able to purchase a reduced guest-registration rate, which allows them access to all symposium meals.
A reduced-price early registration rate will be made available to attendees who register no later than June 30. Currently, room rates are $139 for attendees who utilize the host hotel.
