In Brief: Boatswain’s Locker, Powerboat P1, Nordic Northwest Yachts, “Catch A Boat,” Peters & May
Boatswain’s Locker is now the Master Plus Distributor for Teleflex Marine/Sierra Products. The company says its new level of distributorship means Boatswain’s will be able to provide an extensive inventory of products including Teleflex Marine, Sierra and Shields Hose at extremely competitive prices.
Powerboat P1, a powerboat racing series, has confirmed a new broadcast partnership with MavTV to air the 2009 Powerboat P1 World Championship season races. Starting in September, MavTV will air the full Powerboat P1 2009 season including the season preview and review programs, with the highlights of the World Championship Evolution and SuperSport classes. Each show will air a minimum of four times.
Nordic Northwest Yachts, a new Nordic Tugs dealer, is now open in Anacortes, Wash. It will be the exclusive Nordic Tugs dealer for Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming and for the Canadian provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. Nordic Northwest Yachts recently purchased the operating assets of Skipper Cress Yacht Sales, Nordic Tugs first — and largest — authorized dealer.
Dawn Garlick of Plymouth, Ill., was selected from more than 46,000 people from across the country to take home the grand prize in the first-ever “Catch A Boat” sweepstakes on TakeMeFishing.org. Garlick will receive a brand new boat, motor and trailer valued at $24,000.
