Discover Boating launches online ‘Social Room’

CHICAGO, Ill. — Discover Boating has launched the Social Room, a new section on that houses all of its social media efforts in one place, Grow Boating reported in a statement this week.

The section offers access to Discover Boating’s Facebook, Twitter and Boat TV applications, as well as a new Boating Blog. The Social Room also includes a section dedicated to frequently asked boating questions and includes a form for submitting new questions.

“As today’s media landscape continues to evolve, social media has become an important way for the boating industry to communicate with interested boaters and the existing boating community,” Carl Blackwell, VP of marketing and for the National Marine Manufacturers Association and Grow Boating, said in a release. “The Social Room makes it easy for site visitors to receive information in real-time, connect directly with boating experts, and share ideas and experiences with fellow boaters and boat buyers.”
