Conversive helps Shurhold boost customer interactions

AGOURA HILLS, Calif. – Conversive Automated Chat boosted Web-based customer interactions 200 percent for Shurhold Industries, Conversive Automation – a provider of online customer support solutions – reported in a press release yesterday.

“People visit the Shurhold site to gather information, gain tips on boating and marine maintenance as well as learn where to buy its products,” Conversive stated. “The company competes in a highly competitive market where branding is extremely critical. Since Shurhold does not sell direct to consumers but via distributors and retailers, increasing brand awareness and preference was a key objective to attain.”

The browse-not-buy nature of the Shurhold site meant Conversive, which provides integrated live and automated Web chat, needed to devise a solution that would do more than keep visitors on the site, it said. Conversive Automation was deployed to provide automated answer support delivered by an on-screen character, “Captain Shurhold.”

“Conversive created and implemented an engaging, informative and highly effective self-service solution that our distributors and customers have adopted with ease and great satisfaction,” said Barry Berhoff, Shurhold Industries’ president.

“Creating Caption Shurhold provided the opportunity to build greater trust and loyalty for the Shurhold brand,” said Robert Williams, Conversive’s chairman and CEO. “Using Conversive Automation allowed that opportunity to be fully realized. It enabled an on-screen character to positively engage visitors to the Shurhold site, building an active dialog with the Shurhold customer base. Conversive is proud to have played a role in this brand- and business-building effort.”
