Pursuit Boats to host MIDC workshop

FORT PIERCE, Fla. – Pursuit Boats of Fort Pierce, Fla., will host a Marine Industry Dealership Certification Launch Workshop Aug. 27, following its 2009 Annual Dealer Sales Conference, at the South Seas Island Resort in Captiva Island, Fla., the Marine Retailers Association of American reported in a release yesterday.

In addition to the Pursuit dealers attending, non-Pursuit dealers are also welcome to participate in the workshop.

“We know that in today’s demanding marketplace, customer expectations have never been higher,” said Pursuit’s Ron Burkdoll. “The Marine Industry Dealership Certification program will allow our dealers to build further operational enhancements into their dealerships that will improve their customer satisfaction and profitability.”

Attendance at a one-day Launch Workshop is the first step for all dealerships that wish to achieve industry certification. During the workshop, program requirements are explained in detail and dealerships are provided with tools necessary to complete the Dealership Certification program.

“We are very appreciative of the support and hospitality Pursuit Boats has extended in opening this program to any dealer wishing to attend,” says Thom Dammrich, president of Marine Certification Inc. and the National Marine Manufacturers Association. “Their willingness to support their dealers’ involvement and other interested parties in the industry is a great show of support for this program which has helped more than 400 dealers achieve higher levels of success.”

Dealers interested in attending a regional Launch Workshop should contact Dealership Certification program manager John Warnik at (312)-946-6500; jwarnik@DealerCertification.org. They may also download Launch Workshop registration forms at DealerCertification.org.

Dealerships should plan to bring a minimum of two employees to the workshop, which involves interactive processes and discussions, though bringing the entire senior management team is recommended.
