IMBC continues to grow

TAMPA, Fla. – The 2007 International Marina & Boatyard Conference, which came to a close in Tampa, Fla., on Wednesday, demonstrated that the event – now in its fifth year – still has room to grow.

Not only did the number of exhibitors jump from 80 to 1003 and the number of sponsors increase to 17, attendees also were up significantly to over 500, according to Mark Amaral, executive director of the American Boat Builders and Repairers Association, which runs the event jointly with the Association of Marina Industries.

Amaral described the show as a great success, noting that well over 50 percent of exhibitors had already signed contracts for the 2008 event, which will be held in Atlanta, Ga.
