NMMA expects FEC decision to boost its PAC

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Federal Election Commission (FEC) voted July 14 to allow companies and labor unions to use automatic payroll deductions to collect financial contributions to business and labor political action committees (PACs), the National Marine Manufacturers Association reported in a statement today.

“This ruling is great news and comes after two years of lobbying for the change,” said NMMA Vice President of Government Relations Monita Fontaine. “NMMA PAC will benefit greatly primarily because employees of member companies will be able to spread their contribution out over time, allowing them to make real and positive differences in policy debates in Washington that affect the boating community.”
