CHICAGO - Indmar Products Co., has signed on as a first-time sponsor for this year's Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Tour, organizers said in a recent release.
Indmar is focused on increasing participation in wakeboarding and waterskiing and has developed a new Wakeboarding & Waterskiing Center for the mobile marketing display that will feature a video presentation, product information and lifestyle photography to promote the fun and action of wakeboarding and waterskiing to the public.
“Indmar supports waterskiing and wakeboard in several areas, including most major competitive events,” said Indmar president Chuck Rowe. “Being a part of the Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Tour now gives us and our boat builder customers an even greater opportunity to help grow these exciting water sports by exposing them to both future and present boating families across the nation.”
In addition to the 80-sq. ft. center, Indmar has also reserved a “boatslip” in the mobile tour's “Mini Boat Show,” where visitors will see various boats with accompanying promotional materials, outlining the activities that can be enjoyed on a specific type of boat, including waterskiing and wakeboarding. The Indmar spot will be filled on a rotating basis by the three OEMs that use Indmar GM Vortec engines: Malibu, MasterCraft, and Skier's Choice.
“Indmar has brought an exciting addition to the Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Tour,” said Discover Boating director Steve Tadd. “This is going to round out the display very nicely. Wakeboarding and waterskiing appeal to a younger demographic, and the tour will benefit by reaching a wider audience than in the past.”
The seven-month tour runs through November, visiting highly-attended consumer events to promote the pleasures of boating and fishing to the public.
