MasterCraft defends its “X” mark
VONORE, Tenn. – After a recent rash of trademark infringement cases involving MasterCraft’s X-Series, the company is serving notice that it will continue to defend the mark, MasterCraft said in a recent press release.
“MasterCraft’s X-Series of boats is the most successful family of wakeboard boats ever,” says John Dorton, president and CEO of MasterCraft. “I think many manufacturers are unfairly trying to capitalize on that success by imitating our “X” branding. Because of the equity MasterCraft has in the X-Series brand, we will vigorously defend against any copycats in the marine industry.”
MasterCraft said it had most recently defended its “X” mark against Toyota, Rinker and BRP.
