Solomon Technologies adds catamaran builder to client list
TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. – Another French catamaran manufacturer has joined Solomon Technologies, Inc.’s (SOLM) list of OEM builders now offering its electric propulsion system, the company reported in a recent statement.
Alliaura Marine, builder of Privilege Luxury cats, indicated it expects to begin production later this month of its first Solomon Technologies powered electric vessel, a Privilege 395, Solomon said.
In addition to Alliaura, the company is already working with two other French boat builders, Lagoon, built by Groupe Beneteau of Bordeaux, France, and Edel of Honfleur, France. These three French boat builders are the world leaders in catamaran sailboat production and in conjunction with their American dealers have taken the lead in recognizing the market potential of environmentally friendly electric propulsion technology, Solomon said.
Company founder David Tether noted that the new electric cat is a joint venture with a U.S. Privilege dealer, The Catamaran Company of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., which also was part of the company’s first Franco-American partnership with Lagoon. The company also contracted with Long Island, New York dealer Aeroyacht in partnership with catamaran builder Edel.
Alliaura and the Catamaran Company plan to introduce the electric Privilege 395 at the Miami Strictly Sail Boat Show in February.
