MESCO trade show sets sales records
THOROFARE, N.J. – Marine Equipment & Supply Co. (MESCO) set records in sales at its recent 40th Dealer Trade Show, the company reported in a statement today.
Over 900 MESCO and Seacoast Dealer personnel attended the two-day event. Dealers from Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Virginia worked the show hard to maximize their buying at the Mid-Atlantic’s premier accessory event, according to the company.
The MESCO Show is the largest, longest running event of it’s kind in the region, stated Jim Del Cioppo, VP sales and marketing for MESCO.
“Our dealers recognize and exploit the value of our show,” Del Cioppo said. “They know it offers them the best buying opportunity of the year as well as the opportunity to interact with factory personnel and research new product in a friendly, comfortable environment.”
Dealers’ attitudes positive
Despite a 2003 season of unprecedented weather related challenges, Del Cioppo said dealers’ attitudes remained positive regarding the upcoming season.
“They were enthusiastic and purchased accordingly,” he explained. “We view many of our customers as family and in fact, often have three generations of customers attend the show together. There is simply no other event in the region that can offer the combination of benefits to the marine dealer that the MESCO Show does.”
He also said MESCO will continue to increase its efforts to provide high quality marketing materials such as its Homeport Retail Identity Program combined with strong purchasing programs to help dealers compete against mass merchants and catalog houses.
