MONTICELLO, Ark. – SeaArk Marine, manufacturer of military and industrial aluminum boats, announced today that it would be temporarily suspending acceptance of new boat orders. SeaArk will continue to accept orders on repair and refurbish work with short turnaround until the Jan. 1, 2012, and will continue to accept spare parts orders indefinitely.
The decision was made to suspend new boat orders in order to attempt to keep SeaArk Marine in a positive cash position until the government and industrial marine sector show improvement. Due to the long construction time of new boats, the company decided that continuing production of new boat orders was too risky under the current economic climate.
SeaArk Marine will continue to fulfill current orders on boats until they are completed and are delivered with factory support and warranty coverage.
