Boating Industry Intelligence You Can Profit From
NEWPORT, R.I. — An international group of 39 students recently graduated from the International Yacht Restoration School (IYRS) with certificates in Boat Building & Restoration; Composites Technology; and Marine Systems.
Graduates were mainly from Rhode Island, but also included students from France, Germany, Italy, South Korea, the Grand Cayman Islands and other U.S. states.
As a part of the public ceremony, the students launched project boats, including the Composites Technology group’s small, high-performance boat considered the fastest sailboat ever, according to an article on patch.com.
