Raymarine becomes fishing tour sponsor

MINNEAPOLIS – Raymarine will become the exclusive marine electronics sponsor of the new Wal-Mart FLW Kingfish Tour and Wal-Mart FLW Redfish Series, FLW Outdoors said in a recent press release.

In August, FLW Outdoors announced it would enter into the world of saltwater angling with the additions of the FLW Kingfish Tour and the FLW Redfish Series to its list of competitive fishing circuits.

“Raymarine is pleased to be taking a leadership position with FLW Outdoors,” said Terry Carlson, president of Raymarine. “This is a great opportunity because we believe that Raymarine products, especially our High Definition digital fishfinders, have tremendous potential for allowing tournament anglers to catch the fish they need to win.”

As an FLW Outdoors sponsor, Raymarine will be a visible component of the FLW Kingfish Tour and FLW Redfish Series and will be featured in a variety of media formats, most notably the “FLW Outdoors” television program on FSN.

“Raymarine’s products are specifically engineered with the competitive saltwater angler in mind, making their sponsorship a logical decision,” FLW Outdoors Chairman Irwin L. Jacobs said. “We’re confident that both parties will thrive in this mutually beneficial relationship.”
