ORLANDO, Fla. – MasterCraft hosted more than 700 principals and salespeople from 130 dealerships worldwide last week in Orlando, Fla., honoring its top dealers with awards and unveiling two new boat models during the three-day gathering, MasterCraft reported in a release today.
Dealers attended sales training seminars to prepare them for the upcoming boat show season, were introduced to MasterCraft’s newest flagship boats – the MariStar 230 and X-30 – and recognized their peers at MasterCraft’s annual “MC Awards” banquet.
On the event’s opening night, MasterCraft president and CEO, John Dorton, thanked the group for its continued support, and shared his vision for the coming years. He also handed out the company’s most prestigious award to longtime MasterCraft partner Mark Lawhead of Portland Ski Boat Center.
“The President’s Award is reserved for the dealer which most exemplifies the best of our business,” said Dorton. “Nothing says MasterCraft better than Portland Ski Boat Center.”
Edmonton, Alberta’s Martin Equipment was given “Rookie of the Year” honors by performing strongly in its first full year as a MasterCraft dealer. MasterCraft of Charlotte received the “Community Service Award” and accepted a $1,000 check for a charity of its choice.
In addition to these honors, MasterCraft also presented several regional awards including top servicing dealer, top marketing dealer and salesman of the year.
